This is a great idea. I'm a decent runner, but I still get stuck in the southern shiverpeaks and I was looking for someone to teach me some tricks/tips. I can do all the other runs, inc Sanctum Cay & Elona's reach mission runs.
My input on the healing breeze discussion:
I find it's generally not worth it since it takes 10 energy (which is hard for me to spare since I usually run w/ mending on) and I prefer defensive stance + charge.
about holy veil:
like I said before, I usually run with mending, so I only have 1 energy regen pip. If I cast holy veil, I get no energy regen, so how would you use it? Not use mending? or cast it only for short periods of time?

Don't aologize for accepting input when you're teaching others. Real teachers are also lifelong students and value input not only from colleagues like IDBURNU, but also their students.
A teacher is very different from a cult leader.
Teachers take input constructively and as an opportunity to enhance everyone's experience. Cult leaders take input as insubordination.
A student is very different from a hero worshipper. Students listen critically, ask questions, and give input from their perspective. Hero worshippers sit wide-eyed and accept what the talking head says.
Good luck building your community.
Free bump for a good idea.

it a descision you have to make use holy vail or mending on the drok forge run there are alot of hexs like the one that slow you down i would rater make it take twice as long to cast them on you and try to run away from them.

I would recommend not using mending myself based on the energy issue and experience. For me it has proven to be more a game of knowing where to rest and regen and precise timing of skill use as you run through the baddies which is something that you need to see done rather than read about, at least with my poor descriptive abilities. I'll try to show you if you like. Message me in game.

That is it exactly Captain, and JaktUp has shown already that he has a very unselfish and open minded attitude by suggesting/offering this topic for discussion, which are two HUGE pluses in any venture, and most definitely are qualities in any field. He may not have all the answers, (who really does?) but a set of sound fundamentals and openess to trying different takes on solving a challenge are huge.
Also, skillwise, I think again that you have to be flexible and with the ability to redistribute skill points with no penalty now, you can make drastic changes for different runs, though I rarely do. I also don't like mending or other enchantments aside from Holy Veil for the Droknars run, and you just need one healing spell or Signet that you use in safe points. Endure pain will get you out of a tight spot if you need, but really shouldn't have to be used a lot. If you are using it continuously, then you need to find out what is causing you too take so much damage and then counter it. Preventative measures are much better than a hectic scramble to recover after the damage is done.
For most of the other runs, as long as you are a monk secondary, you can use mending alone and really don't have to heal at all as with a full Droknar/15k/FoW armor set and Superior Absorption and good shield, you probably won't take much damage from anything but poison/disease/bleeding etc. Again, avoiding that or stopping it ASAP to counter the condition is the key so that you don't lose massive HP to begin with.

If anyone would like to know how to do the Elona Reach run, feel free to whisper me (IGN: Earnest Arryn) or pm me. It takes some practice, but once you get it down, it is a huge cash cow. Good luck to all the runners out there!

Just a note again to thank everyone for their interest and posts! I wasn't sure if this would be a good move when I posted it last night but clearly the response has proven very good.
Just to let everyone know, I am getting hammered with whispers in-game and will try my best to help all I can. I suppose I'll have to do this on a first come first served basis, so if you'll be patient with me, we can all make this work. Again I would like to invite any who are already experienced runners to join in and help if they would be so inclined. I may need all the help I can get.

Ok very interested in running/joining academy/helping others. I can probalby spring for some droks glads armor np. I use plate atm and sadly havent gotten to "charge" yet, but i've successfully doen to sanctum runs/powered through sanctum and can manage some desert runs. Occasionally i can do ss but damn hexes are hard to cope with.I got my warr at ice caves, i'll just get him to ember to cap charge and pick up any other skills i need. Anybody in the mood the help me through ss missions (especally thunderhead) just pm me in game and we can do it together!
